Sitting in the sun backstage at the moment. The apocalyptic mist that passed over the site an hour or so ago has dispersed and now the sun is beating down and we’re sat listening to easy listening classics that are blaring out of Dead Kids’ bassist Adam’s car. Good vibes, although my black t-shirt, black jeans combo is starting to feel a bit out of place, particularly next to those who’ve opted to get involved with the fancy dress today – I’ve seen a guy in a tiger leotard, a bunch of sailors, a G.I and a man in a fat suit getting into a fight with someone. Apart from that, it’s good vibes all the waaaay man.

So far today, I’ve seen a couple of bands on the Local Heroes stage doing their best to bulldoze eardrums – didn’t catch their names as the times listed in the programmes have done a swaperoo but caught one trio in the middle of a Sonic Youth wig-out and another in the middle of some brutal Maiden riffery. Also saw The Clik Clik do their adolescent Black Kids thing – they’re a bit like Hadouken! if they did indie instead of new rave.

Laters!
