But enough of that. Here’s the
bands, in their own words, with the first of our exclusive artist blogs…

80kidz

Hello, We are 80kidz – Mayu,
Ali& and Jun, we’re based in

Tokyo.
Our style sits in the same box as people like Justice, Hot Chip and CSS,
who we’ve  been very privileged to play alongside! We’ve remixed for
labels like Kitsune and Southern Fried. We make dance / electro music but perform
with the energy of an Indie band. In

England
we’re looking forward to finally  eating some real fish and chips, and to
watching Exlovers at The Great  Escape,
in

Brighton. We’re going to buy Doc Martins in

London, go and see John Lennon’s home in Liverpool
and would love to meet Sir Alex Ferguson in

Manchester!

De De Mouse

The link between the musical and  the visual world in my work is
important, and I work with artists including Midori Kawano, Mr. Iwai and
Diagram, who create visuals to my music.  My melodies are like the
cosmos drawn on an animation cell, or like an old camera film. This tour
will be my first visit to

England
As a teenager I was obsessed with Warp
and Rephlex records, so I’m excited about coming to the home of electronic music! I’d like to make a rock
performance with real emotion.

Tucker

My style doesn’t fit into any category. The good thing is I can enjoy playing
at different types of parties, from hip hop to hardcore punk. The bad thing is,
I can’t describe my style within these 100 words. My dear mum doesn¹t
understand my style (at all – she thought I might have taken acid, but no). All
I can say is just DON’T MISS MY SHOW! I played at Fabric the last time I was here, for Scratch
Perverts in 2006, which was crazy. I hope this

UK tour and upcoming collaboration
with Beardyman will be exciting for the
audience and myself!

Riddim Saunter

We’re Riddim Saunter from

Tokyo. We interpret
various rhythms from hip-hop from the viewpoint of a Japanese artist, and spit
out genre-less Japanese urban pop. It’s out first time playing abroad, so we’re
looking forward to introducing this sound as far as possible to

England. We’re
looking forward to meeting you fine folks, to having lots of interesting
conversation, and will be absorbing as much as possible!  Thanks very
much!
