Noel Gallagher Announces New Album

06 Jul 2011

Noel Gallagher is set to put-out his first post-Oasis album this autumn.

Noel’s new band Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds release their eponymous debut on October 17th.

The High Flying Birds album was recorded and London and Los Angeles in late 2010 and early 2011 with Primal Scream and Oasis producer Dave Sardy.

The second album, due next year, is a collaboration between Noel and Amorphous Androgynous. Speaking at a press conference in London this lunchtime, Noel described the latter collaboration as “fucking far out. As far out as I’ve ever been anyway.”

Gallagher will play his first gig the week after the album’s release in Dublin. A full tour is expected to be announced soon.

Of the live shows, Noel says he will perform new material as well as Oasis songs.

“I don’t think I’d get let out of a venue if I didn’t play the ones you expected. They’re my songs and I wrote them all by myself. I’m proud of them.”

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds tracklisting:
‘Everybody’s On The Run’
‘Dream On’

‘The Death Of You And Me’
‘(I Wanna Live A Dream In My) Record Machine’
‘AKA What A Life’
