British Sea Power Play National Maritime Museum

British Sea Power are set to help with the opening of a new wing at the National Maritime Museum.

The new £35 Million Sammy Ofer Wing will feature a huge wall with sculpted maritime-themed quotations. Alongside these quotes from Shakespeare, Colerdige and Derek Walcott, there will be a prominent display of lyrics from British Sea Power‘s ‘Carrion’:“Oh the heavy water how it enfolds / Always, always, always the sea / Brilliantine mortality”.

The band will also be playing a series of intimate dates during October and November.
