Kasabian ‘Want To Headline Glastonbury’
Kasabian have said they want to headline Glastonbury when the festival returns in 2013.
Guitarist Serge Pizzorno admitted headlining the event is something the band are determined to do before their career ends.
He told the Daily Star: “One thing I really want to do before all this ends is to headline Glastonbury, as we’ve always had an incredible time playing there. The one thing you need to pull off a good Glastonbury headline show is fucking good tunes and we’ve got enough of them to do that.”
Singer Tom Meighan added: “All we need is a phone call from Michael Eavis and we’ll be there for 2013.”
The band also expressed their desire to play Wembley Stadium. “It would really be something if we could play Wembley Stadium,” Pizzorno said. “To be big enough to headline there? Magnificent. Who knows what’ll happen next year.”
Kasabian’s new album ‘Velociraptor!’ is currently at number one in the UK album chart.
