Queen Of Hoxton Launches Fresh Meat

London’s Queen Of Hoxton pub is set to host a battle of the bands competition in October and November.

Fresh Meat will consist of 16 live acts competing in four rounds before the final.

The Queen Of Hoxton is offering the chance to win a two day recording session, a slot at Shoreditch festival Bookstock and a live recording session and video diary with soyoucansee.com.

The acts will be judged by a panel of music industry representatives as well as a guest judge each week. The guest judges include The Maccabees’ drummer Sam Doyle, Alex Bean of 679 Recordings, Time Out’s Danielle Goldstein and the Sunday Times Online Editor Serena Kutchinsky.

To enter, acts should send a Myspace or Soundcloud link and contact details to bands@thequeenofhoxton.co.uk. The deadline for entries is 4th October.

Terms and conditions are as follows:
You must be over 18 to enter, ID on entry required.
As an artist or band, you must be unsigned to enter.
You must be available and willing to perform in London on any of the following dates: 18th/25th October and 8th/15th/22nd November.
