Radiohead Discuss Latest Album
Thom Yorke and Ed O’ Brien of Radiohead have spoke to NPR about their decision to release their eighth studio album ‘The King of Limbs’ without any promotional interviews or live performances.
Radiohead released the album in February of this year, but felt they had no obligation to talk up the record, with Yorke simply commenting, ”We didn’t want to explain it”, and guitarist Ed O’ Brien adding ”We didn’t feel like it”.
Thom Yorke compared recording the album to editing a film, saying, ”Almost every tune is like a collage, with bits we pre-recorded and flying them at each other. It was like editing a film…it was quite interesting.”
Radiohead release their new remix album ‘TKOL 1234567′ today (10th October). They celebrate its release with an event at London’s Corsica Studios tomorrow (11th October).
