Stone Roses Reunion Latest
The latest reports on The Stone Roses’ reunion claim that frontman Ian Brown has confirmed it will definitely be taking place.
Magician Dynamo, who is a close friend of Brown, reportedly showed The Sun a text message from the singer which read: ‘We are going to rule the world again. It’s happening’
The rumours flared up on Friday after a major music publicist confirmed a press conference for Tuesday 18th October, but refused to comment on whether or not it was to announce the Manchester legends’ return.
Drummer Alan ‘Reni’ Wren contacted NME on Friday with a cryptic message reading ‘Not before 9T will I wear the hat 4 the Roses again’, which The Sun have dismissed as a red herring.
According to the same report, a source has told The Sun, “Guy [Garvey – Elbow] was talking to friends about how the original line-up had been rehearsing over the summer in Manchester.”
The rumours, if believed, include plans for The Stone Roses to perform a large-scale gig at Manchester’s Heaton Park next summer.
