Download Pretty Things

Having recently announced details of their forthcoming second album (full story here), Dirty Pretty Things are making an exclusive download of brand new song ‘Hippy’s Son’ available for free from the band’s official website, www.dirtyprettythingsband.com.

‘Hippy’s Son’ was produced and recorded by Nik Leman and is taken from the band’s new album, ‘Romance At Short Notice’, which is scheduled for release on Monday June 30th. A single, ‘Tired Of England’ will be released one week earlier on June 23rd.

Nothing wrong with this, you might think, but it does rather fly in the face of recent comments (read them here) Carl Barat made about how bands giving their music away for free was “ruining the scene”…
