Keep Yer Lyd on!

It seems that John Lydon’s fiery tongue has not mellowed with age. In comments made to The Sun newspaper backstage at the Isle of Wight festival this weekend, the Sex Pistol, 52, branded Coldplay “men in anoraks” and “utterly humourless”.

Speaking before his band’s headline show at the island festival last night (15^th June), Lydon added that he, “felt sorry for the poor bastards that have to watch the band”, before turning on them as well, describing Coldplay fans as, “half-baked, inadequate people”. However, Lydon conceded that the band were responsible for, “a couple of nice tones here and there”.

So, for the record, that’s 306,000 half-baked inadequate people (and counting) who bought new album ‘Vida la Vida’ last Thursday.
