Coldplay Top The Charts

Coldplay have become the first British group in over a decade to reach number one on

America’s Billboard Hot 100.

Not content with becoming the fastest selling album of 2008 and reaching number one in the
UK, their album ‘Viva La Vida’ has also taken the

US by storm. They today (June 19th) became the first British group in 11 years to reach number one in the US, with their title track ‘Viva La Vida’ standing at the top spot after being released in

America this week.

The band also hold the record for the biggest number of pre-sales on iTunes.
