The investors behind songwriter frYars have launched Bandstocks, a new scheme which will allow music fans to buy a financial interest in artists’ album releases. The fan-funded investment model is being launched by Civilian Industries PLC and aims to give artists control of their own destinies and a bigger share of sales revenues while allowing fans a chance to invest in and play a significant part in the growth and success of those artists.

Unsigned artists wanting to raise funds through Bandstocks will go through a quality control assessment by a team of B-Unique Records experts, Mark Lewis and Martin Toher whose experience of signing and developing has seen a series of successful artists such as Primal Scream, Kaiser Chiefs, The Automatic, The Ordinary Boys and The Twang rise to the top.
