The Wombats Release Xmas Single

The Wombats have announced that they will be releasing two new singles over the next few months, the first new tracks to be recorded since their debut album ‘The Wombats Proudly Present…A Guide to Love, Loss and Desperation’ in 2007. 

The first single will be released on December 15^th and is a special one-off seasonal song entitled ‘Is This Christmas’ and features comedian Les Dennis. The single will be released on CD, 2 x 7inch with all proceeds going to the charity MENCAP. This single will be followed by the track ‘My Circuitboard City’ on February 9th.  The single was produced by Franz Ferdinand producer Tore Johanson at London Metropolis Studio. 

Ahead of the single releases, The Wombats will be playing a 7-date sold tour of the

UK, including a massive homecoming headline show at the new Liverpool Echo Arena on November 22nd where they will become one of the first indie bands to play the 10,000 capacity venue.  The gig will be The Wombats’ final show of the year before they take a break from touring to work on their new album.
