LATE PETE PLEADS GUILTY
Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty appeared at West London Magistrates Court this morning (3 July).
Doherty pleaded guilty to possession of several Class A drugs including: Crack, Heroin, Cannabis and Ketamine as well as to two driving offences.
He also pleaded guilty to a charge of failing to appear in court without a reasonable excuse for his lateness. The singer was two and a half hours late to court, arriving just minutes after District Judge Davinder Lachhar had issued a warrant for his arrest.
Said Judge Lachhar: “This is a court of law. He should have been here at 9:30 and he isn’t. I am giving a warrant with no bail.”
The ex-Libertine had admitted “feeling nervous” about the hearing to photographers on his arrival.
