Peanut Better

Nick Baines aka Peanut, keyboard player with the Kaiser Chiefs has been diagnosed with appendicitis.

The keyboardist was diagnosed whilst doing promotion in

Brazil and has had to have his appendix removed, forcing the rest of the band to perform without him whilst on tour. “We’ve made it to

L.A., but unfortunately we’re a man down. We didn’t want to make a drama out of it so we kept this quiet until now,” Kaisers Chiefs explained in a statement, “Peanut had to have an operation to remove his appendix on Thursday, so he’s been in a hospital in

Brazil for a few days.”

“The operation was a success, he’s ok, and managed to play with us at Planeta Terra in
Brazil on Saturday night, but he’s unable to fly to the

USA until Wednesday.”
