The Strokes Start Work On New Album

Julian Casablancas and Nick Valensi have been working on new Strokes material for the band’s next release.

Speaking to BBC 6 Music, drummer Fabrizio Moretti revealed that the

New York band are writing new songs which they plan on working on next month. “Julian has started writing and Nick has got some material as well,” Moretti said. “We’re the kind of band that it’s not finished until everyone’s in one room and everyone’s got their parts perfectly. We’re a very mechanical band.”

This will be the band’s first album since their 2006 release ‘First Impressions Of Earth’.
