KOOKS 2ND ALBUM EXCLUSIVE

The Kooks have been talking to The Fly about their recent activities.

Speaking in September’s bumper edition of the magazine, frontman Luke Pritchard reveals how the band have been preparing for album #2 – with plenty of relaxation.

“We just recently went in to do some demos, just writing, getting all the material ready to do an album. We’ve been having fun as well, trying to kick back a little bit.”

He also revealed that while the band aren’t gigging as much as they’d like at the moment, they’re relishing the opportunity to blast out some properly prepared new material.

“We’re getting withdrawal symptoms. For three years we’ve been writing songs and not playing them at gigs cos it’s hard to find time to sit in a rehearsal studio and get the songs right and then play them so it feels great to be able to play new material.”

September’s Fly mag is available from the 3rd of next month, with ONE OF THE WORLDS BIGGEST BANDS on the cover, in celebration of MTV2′s Gonzo TV show.
