Green Day Unveil Album Release Date

Green Day have announced a May 15th release date for their latest album ‘21st Century Breakdown’.

Green Day’s eighth studio album to date and is the follow up to 2004’s ‘American Idiot’ which won two Grammies and sold more than 12 million copies worldwide. The first single from the album, ‘Know Your Enemy’, is on sale now.

Singer-guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tre Cool have been writing, arranging, and recording ‘21st Century Breakdown’ since early 2006 and are currently making finishing touches with the album’s producer Butch Vig (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage)

Green Day have also just announced a huge, two-month U.S stadium tour that spans the country including dates in New York, Texas, California and Canada. For these live dates three new members will be joining the three original members, guitarist Jason White, keyboardist Jason Freese and guitarist Jeff Matika.
