Red Stripe Music Award Finalists Announced!

2009’s Red Stripe Music Award Finalists have been announced.

Devon-based troubadour Ben Howard, genre-hopping mentalist Gideon Conn, bluesy twosome Philadelphia Mainline and skip-hop octet First Degree Burns, will all be taking to the HMV Forum stage in support of Gomez on 5th May.

The four acts have been plucked from over 150 entrants who have been performing in heats up and down the country since January.

The winner will play 3 top UK festivals (Great Escape, Lovebox and Blissfields), and will be chosen by a panel of industry experts that includes Sam Duckworth, aka Mr. Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly.

The evening will be compered by BBC Introducing’s Huw Stephens.
