Sigur Ros New Album Almost Finished

Sigur Ros have revealed that they are working on a new album in Iceland.

The band revealed on their website that they’re busy recording the follow up to 2008′s ‘Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust’. Sigur Ros have been in the Sundlaugin Studio for the past few weeks and the new album is reportedly nearly complete. the band exposed that, “the recordings have been going very well and that the album is taking form as a slower and more ambient record than með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust and takk” .

Orri Páll DýRason, Sigur Ros’ drummer described their new sound as “melodic but much less noisy and more ‘out there’ than previous albums.”

The new album should be released in 2010.
