Blur To Play Gig In London Tonight

15 Jun 2009

Blur have revealed that they will perform a free, intimate London gig tonight (June 15th).

The reunited band are set to play a small gig in an as-yet-unknown venue in London to mark the release of their new greatest hits ‘Midlife: A Beginners Guide To Blur, which is released today. Graham Coxon has Twittered about the event, stating:

“Mornin all! ‘Midlife…’ is out today and to celebrate we’re gonna play some songs in London!”

Blur fans can collect wristbands for the free show at the box office of the O2 Academy Brixton from 11am (BST), although the show will not take place at that venue. The 170 tickets are limited to one per person on a first come first served basis.

Blur performed their first gig as a four-piece in nearly ten years this weekend when they played at the East Anglian Railway Museum near Colchester on June 13th.
