18 Jun 2009

The Dead Weather are set to play a London show at a secret location this Monday (June 22nd).

The band, consisting of The White Stripes’ Jack White, The Kills’ Alison Mosshart, The Raconteurs’ Jack Lawerence and Dean Fertita from Queens Of The Stone Age, is the brainchild of Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich. The Dead Weather will perform as part of a ‘From The Basement’ series which will take place at an undisclosed basement in London.

Fans are not invited to the show, but it will be broadcast live on www.ftblive.com and via Nokia N97 phones and will be shown exclusively to fans at four independent record stores in London, Manchester, Glasgow and Brighton.

This online show will be a warm-up for The Dead Weather‘s British live debut at the Forum on June 24th. Their debut album ‘Horehound’ is released on Third Man/Columbia on July 13th.
