New Order Side Project Release Album

New Order’s founding member Bernard Sumner has announced that his new band, Bad Lieutenant will release an album titled ‘Never Cry Another Tear’.

The band, who formed in 2007, also features New Order guitarist Phil Cunningham and newcomer Jake Evans on lead vocals and guitar. Sumner reportedly said that Evans is a “gifted new singer and guitar player who I think is really talented.”

Recorded and mixed on the outskirts of Manchester the group also enlisted the help of Blur’s Alex James and New Order drummer Stephen Morris.

Bad Lieutenant’s debut single ‘Sink or Swim’ will be released on September 21st.
