Jemina Pearl Teams Up With Iggy Pop

Punk-rock icon Iggy Pop has taken time off from shooting car insurance advertisements to record a song with Jemina Pearl, the former frontwoman of Austin garage rockers Be Your Own Pet.

Since Be Your Own Pet split last year, Jemina has been hard at work recording her solo album, ‘Break It Up’, which is set for release on October 6th.  The album, produced by John Agnello (The Hold Steady, Sonic Youth) also features TV On The Radio’s David Sitek and Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore.
Iggy Pop will feature on the album’s lead single ‘I Hate People’, which you can hear at Jemina’s MySpace page. The ‘Break It Up’ tracklist is as follows:
