Andrew WK Confirms New Album Release

Andrew WK has confirmed details of his new album, ’55 Cadillac’.

The follow up to 2008′s ‘The Japan Covers’ was recorded by WK in two hours before being edited down to eight piano driven songs. Andrew WK revealed that he recorded the album spontaneously without previous planning, “It felt to me like I was hanging by a thread the whole time, or I was about to fall off a cliff,” he explained in a statement.

“A lot of times I was just trying to keep playing and keep this momentum going. I would play for as long as I could or as long as it seemed right and, most of the time, when I stopped that was that song.”

’55 Cadillac’ released on September 7th.
