Vampire Weekend Play Free Somerset House Gig

Vampire Weekend will be playing a free outdoor show at London’s Somerset House this Thursday, January 14th.

The New York quartet will play above the ice rink in the Somerset House courtyard at 5.30pm and no advance tickets are required – fans can simply turn up on the day. In addition to the performance, the first 50 fans to arrive will be given the chance to ice skate for free.

This event will mark the beginning of a busy 48 hours in London for Vampire Weekend as later that day they play an intimate sold-out club show at Kingston’s New Slang club night. Friday will see an in-store performance at Rough Trade East store and later an album launch party at Dalston’s Visions Video Bar.

Vampire Weekend release their new album ‘Contra’, through XL on January 25th.
