
OK Go Part With EMI
OK Go have announced the formation of their own record label, Paracadute.
The LA-based rock band will part company with their former label EMI Music on April 1st and will take sole control of their own marketing and distribution. “We’d like to thank the people who have worked so hard on our behalf,” said singer Damian Kulash. “And we’d like to thank our fans for making this choice an easy one for us.”
OK Go have received widespread recognition for their viral music videos. The video for their breakout hit ‘Here It Goes Again’, which was put on YouTube in 2006, has received over 50 million views and has become one of the website’s most viewed videos ever.
The band’s newest video for ‘This Too Shall Pass’, the single from their recently released new album ‘Of The Blue Colour Of The Sky’, has so far received more than 7 million views in the space of a week and a half.
