The bum and hand that joined together in sexual matrimony has spoken out about how the image that enthralled many a teenage boy (and lesbian) was captured.

The story behind the cover of The Strokes ‘Is This It?’ is really not that interesting but a nice little conversation filler once you’ve used every other nugget of information at a dinner party and album art work becomes the topic of choice.

Here is the video of photographer Colin Lane’s ex girlfriend explaining the shot.

Lane previously spoke to the NME about the shot, “A stylist left the glove in my apartment. I begged my girlfriend at the time to do it. We did about 10 shots. There was no real inspiration; I was just trying to take a sexy picture. My ex-girlfriend was thrilled – she was a very rock ‘n’ roll girl so it’s a big feather in her cap to have her ass on The Strokes’ cover”.
