Mogwai Release Live Disc

Mogwai are to follow-up 2008’s ‘The Hawk Is Howling’ with a two disc live album and DVD, to be released on Rock Action Records.

The DVD ‘Burning’ was directed by Vincent Moon and Nathanaël Le Scouarnec, and is a grainy black-and-white documentation of the band’s performance at Brooklyn’s Music Hall in Williamsburg. It comes with Mogwai’s first ever live compilation of sorts, ‘Special Moves’.

Experts in ethereal, epic musical landscapes, Mogwai have ruled out making a ‘Best Of’, and so the double release acts as the most defined self-evaluation the band’s work so far.

‘Special Moves’/‘Burning’ comes out in August.
