The Libertines Perform Warm-Up Gig

26 Aug 2010

The Libertines cast aside any doubts at their performance at the Kentish Town forum last night (August 25th).

The warm-up for their Reading and Leeds festival slots this weekend consisted of a 21 song set. The band entered the stage at 9.30pm to Vera Lynn’s ‘We’ll Meet Again’, whilst a montage of classic Libertines photographs played in the background. Opening with ‘Horrowshow’, Doherty and Barat shared the mic, performing classics, ‘Don’t Look Back Into The Sun’ and ‘Time For Heroes’ as well as rare tracks such as ‘The Delany’ and ‘Lust Of The Libertines’.

The encore consisted of eight songs, ending with ‘What A Waster’ and ‘I Get Along’.

The Libertines will perform this weekend, on Friday at Leeds festvial and on Saturday at the Reading leg of the event.
