The Strokes To Release New Album In 2011

The Strokes have confirmed that their new album is finished and they’re set to release it within the next few months.

Singer Julian Casablancas unveiled the news on his Twitter page, Twitter.com/casablancas_j, explaining:

“[The album is] still not going to be out for a few months – mixing, etc.”
“But just finally finished it, yesterday actually.”

The Strokes started work on their fourth album last February with producer Joe Chiccarelli (U2, Beck, Bjork).

This is the band’s first album since 2006′s ‘First Impressions Of Earth’.
