TV On The Radio To Tour Without Bassist

TV On The Radio bassist Gerard Smith has been diagnosed with lung cancer and will miss the band’s summer tour.

Smith was diagnosed after the band completed work on their new album ‘Nine Types Of Light,’ set for release in April.

He will miss dates across America and Europe, including a performance at London’s Wireless Festival.

In a statement on their official website, the band said: “Gerard is receiving excellent medical care and we appreciate your concern and support for Gerard and his family.”
