Bloc Party Plot September Return

Bloc Party guitarist Russell Lissack has announced that the band have plans to record together in September, after a two year hiatus.

Lissack, who recently quit his role as touring guitarist with Ash said that, though the Bloc Party members had commitments over the summer, they would return to the studio in September.

The guitarist said: “Kele (Okereke) and I started working on Bloc Party stuff together and separately, but we’re going to get back properly in September and sit in a rehearsal studio to work on new band material.”

Lissack released an eponymous debut album with side project Pin Me Down with Milena Mepris in April 2010.

Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke also enjoyed success with his debut solo album ‘The Boxer’, which was released last year.
