Where All The Saints’ first album was a giant mortar, grinding your peppercorn-like head into a fine dust with its unrelenting, guitary pestle, their second eases on the elbow grease a tad. Not that they’ve gotten any less menacing, mind. ‘Poly Daughters’ is a dreamier, under-watery opening moment, while ‘Host’ is a fl at-out psychedelic nightmare. At times, (‘4HP’, ‘EIO’, ‘Dangerflowers’) ‘Intro To Fractions’ even seems like a malevolent, post-rock take on the screeching weirdness of Psychedelic Horseshit. Certainly, the weak of constitution will need to stock up on Immodium before attempting to digest its 13 tracks in full.
