Edwyn Collins has roped in artists, actors and authors to make the artwork for his forthcoming single ‘Home Again’.
Taken from his recent album of the same name, his ‘Home Again’ single will be available on June 23rd with only 1500 7”s made available. The sleeves have been designed by creative types such as Tim Burgess, Richard Hawley, Jarvis Cocker, The Cribs, Samantha Morton and Harry Hill - each customising a fold-over paper 7” sleeve featuring one of Edwyn’s pencil drawings. Profits from this project will be donated to Connect, the aphasia support organization who helped Edwyn during his recuperation following his life-threatening cerebral haemorrhage two years ago.
The complete run of 7”s will be placed, at random, in a selection of record stores across the UK so you wont know who designed your sleeve until you get it back home. If you don’t get a chance to get one of the 1500 copies, the sleeves will all be displayed at an exhibition at The Social in London opening on June 9th with a performance from the man himself.
