British Sea Power have announced details of their own festival, hosted in the most elevated pub in the UK.
The band’s inaugural Sing Ye From The Hillside! festival will take place at Yorkshire’s Tan Hill Inn, which is apparently the highest pub in
Britain. The venue, equipped with pub ducks, a dog, a cat and Tanny the bar sheep will be a three-day, two-night festival featuring three separate and different BSP sets as well as a full supporting musical programme yet to be announced. In between all of the music you can try your hand at husky racing, duck-herding, a pub quiz, tug 'o war and attempt to record the loudest ever human voice. "Where else in the world can you get to play to a few ducks and a sheep?” BSP guitarist Noble declared in a statement. “The last time we played Tan Hill it was unforgettable. This time we're there for three days. God knows what will happen.”
Sing Ye From The
Hillside! hosted by British Sea Power will take place from August 29th-31st
North Yorkshire’s Swaledale. Tickets are £50 (plus booking fee) from: www.ticketline.co.uk
