Franz Ferdinand have confirmed that their new album will be released in January.
Their third LP is set for release on January 26th in the UK and January 27th in the US, and the full title of the record will be ‘Tonight: Franz Ferdinand’, inspired by the band's name on the side of a marquee, “I can picture a marquee outside a theatre saying 'Tonight: Franz Ferdinand', there's a sense of anticipation," frontman Alex Kapranos explained to NME. "It's music for the dancefloor, your bedroom as you psyche yourself up to go out, a stranger's bedsit coming down an hour before dawn.”
The new album will includes tracks such as ‘Turn It On’, ‘What She Came For’, ‘Bite Hard’, ‘Katherine, Kiss Me’ and ‘Ulysses’.
