ARTISTS TEAM UP FOR COVERS LP

Kaiser Chiefs (pictured), Klaxons, Kasabian, Keane and The Kooks are amongst 40 acts who will appear on a brand new compilation cd.

The double disc is being collated by Radio One to celebrate the station’s 40th birthday, and even includes some famous bands whose names don’t start with the letter K.

Still with us? Good.

Franz Ferdinand, The Fratellis, Foo Fighters and The Fray also appear on the album, as well as some more bands whose names don’t start with F or K, like KRazorlight and FThe Gossip.

Anyway, one track from each of the last 40 years will be covered. Full list below:

It’s tough to decide which of these sounds the least appealing, but if we were pushed we’d have to pick the bound-to-be-heinous McFly cover of 'Town Called Malice'. Yuck!

Although The Feeling doing Carly Simon is SUPER GAY.

Plus, The View covering The Libertines! Who’d have ever thought that?!
