Franz Ferdinand Unveil Split-Single

Franz Ferdinand have revealed details of a new split-single.

Writing on Franz Ferdinand’s MySpace.com blog, frontman Alex Kapranos revealed that the single will be a cover of De Kift’s song ‘Heisa Ho’ - which is sung in Dutch.

“We have covered ‘Heisa Ho’, by the Dutch punk band De Kift, who are covering ‘Love And Destroy’ themselves for a split-single. Both versions are very different from the originals,” Kapranos explained.

Kapranos also revealed that he has remixed Little Boots’ new single ‘New In Town’ - after the two got chatting at the Shockwaves NME Awards in February.

“When we were at the NME Awards I met Victoria Little Boots. I've remixed her great new single ‘New In Town’ as a version called ‘No One Is Safe’”

Kapranos said that his version of the song is similar to the songs that make up Franz Ferdinand’s ‘Blood’ version of their latest album ‘Tonight: Franz Ferdinand’.”
