This is the solo album from Peter Moren, better known as Peter of Peter Bjorn And John variety and, make no mistake, this album rides on the trails of PBJ, without which, it’d probably pass us by quietly. ‘The Last Tycoon’ is not everyone’s cup of tea, but loyal fans of PBJ and followers of the classic styles of James Taylor and Cat Stevens will appreciate. This record must only be listened to when you’re in the right frame of mind – wistful and lovely, on a rainy Monday – when that bottle of vodka in the corner starts eyeing you up.
