For this, their debut album, The Mountain Movers have boldly opted for the potentially disastrous combination of an afterlife-based concept album and an unnecessarily long title. However, fans of the Stones, Daniel Johnston and Dr Dog will agree they’ve managed to make this work.

If you plan to go screeching backwards through the Pearly Gates in a glorious fireball, ‘We’ve Walked In Hell…’ won’t be your chosen soundtrack; it’s too melancholic for that. But if you’re passing those same gates late one night and listen very hard, you might just hear this lovely music drifting from somewhere deep inside...
