The Music haven’t always had it easy. One of those ‘if they’re like this now, what are they gonna be like when they’re 25’ bands with a groove-till-you die debut LP and damaging rock’n’roll lifestyle, the Kippax kids’ triumphant return was always going to be tough. Frankly we weren’t sure if they still had it in them but whatever Robert Harvey and co have been up to in the four years since their second album, they’ve found their direction. “This time its gonna be different” sings Harvey on ‘The Leftside’. He’s right, like a Hatton knockout of gargantuan proportions, ‘Strength In Numbers’, the streamline’No Weapon Sharper Than Will’ and soul-baring ‘Inconceivable Odds’ can’t half pack a punch.
