This is a tender, chilling return for Death Cab, and anyone who has the band marked out as a watered-down emo act will be shocked. Not least by the fact that the
Seattle quartet’s slightly manic ballad weighs in at eight and a half minutes long. And the song may hardly grab you by the throat, but give it time to work its magic and eventually you’ll realise the band’s fingers are around your neck after all. That’s the power of the Death-grip.
