‘Meccano’

(Lavolta)

‘Meccano’ is a fairly-straight-forward indie anthem, a guitar-based call to arms for the disenchanted, though layered more intelligently than most with nifty harmonies and a dollop of xylophone. But behind this intricate layering lies a Longview guitar line and deadbeat-dull-drumming, exposing a particularly mediocre sliver of limp indie pap. Snow Patrol riffs merge with emo choruses to create a song designed, but not destined, for the stadium.
